Beyond Bandages is a self-injury support group for adult men and women who cause self-inflicted pain and/or injuries to themselves (as a form of coping), who are seeking support or have overcome and looking for support, in a group environment.
When we meet in person, our self-injury support group takes place on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month. Come out to be part of a supportive group where you can discuss the real struggles of overcoming self-inflicted violence. Regardless of where you are in your road to recovery, we are here to listen and support.
Each self-injury support group meeting has a specific topic and takes place in a relaxed environment.
*If you arrive after 7:10pm, please wait to come in the meeting until the break (about 8:00pm).
Throw Out is a "check-in" style virtual meeting for adult men and women who are part of the Beyond Bandages group. We talk and throw things out that are bad/bothering us and reuse what’s good!
Every Monday @ 7:30pm-8:15pm with 3 rounds.
The support group was designed and created in 2005 by Launching Point founder, Vicki Duffy. She facilitates the group and over the years, she has asked group members assist at a meeting, which is great to see recovered group members be so involved.
For more info you can call or text Vicki at 973-224-4144.
Beyond Bandages is a self-injury support group that began on Friday, November 4, 2005 in Florham Park as "Breaking the Silence of Self-Injury" on the 2nd floor of Living Praise Church. We moved in 2015 and "Beyond Bandages" currently takes place on the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights of every month in Boonton.
The self-injury support group meetings are closed, only open to those that currently harm, in process of overcoming, or have overcome and looking for support. If you bring a guest, friend or family member, they are welcome to stay in the lobby.
